Terms& Conditions

Terms and Conditions can be found below.  Please note the booking and cancellation terms for workshops.

These terms & conditions cover all workshops run by Fiona Potter regardless of venue or type and also refer to products sold by and purchased from Fiona Potter. By booking on to any of our workshops or making purchases from Fiona Potter you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.  Please see separate terms and conditions for purchases made through Fi’s Fusion available on website.
1. Workshops 
1.1. We reserve the right to vary course content and these terms and conditions at any time 
1.2. Who can attend: attendees must be 18 years or older in order to attend our resin workshops. Teenagers between the ages of 12-17 may attend if accompanied by a fee paying responsible adult. The resin workshops are not suitable for children younger than 14. No reduction in fee is given for under 18’s. 
Powertex workshops can be attended by anyone over the age of 16. 
1.3. Attendees must be able to assess their own skill level and while we are happy to assist with this, we cannot be held liable if an attendee books a course much higher or lower than their actual skill level. 
2. What’s included: All appropriate materials to complete the workshop together with use of all tools. 
3. Health & Safety: 
3.1. Fiona Potter cannot be held liable for food allergies and intolerances. It is the responsibility of the attendee to make decisions regarding appropriate intake of all food and drinks. 
3.2. In the unlikely event that any individual may develop skin allergies and reaction Fiona Potter accepts no liability. Barrier hand cream and hand cleansers will be made available for the use of all workshop attendees however it is the responsibility of individuals to make use of such products. 
3.3. Suitable appropriate clothing should be worn. Long hair should be tied back. Powertex and Resin are sticky and are difficult or imposssible to remove from clothing and hair without damage. Ring’s, watches and bracelets should be removed before working with Powertex.  Fiona Potter accepts no liability for any such damage. 
3.4. Any attendee acting in breach of the health and safety guidelines or in such a way that it endangers or offends others will first be advised and if they persist, they will be asked to leave the workshop immediately and no refund will be given. 
3.5. Please inform us of any physical or learning difficulties etc. at the time of booking the course. We will do our best to ensure that venues are able to accommodate wheel chair users but please let us know in advance to ensure all appropriate steps have been taken. 
3.6. Where an attendee requires the assistance of their carer, please advise us at the time of booking. The carer’s fee will be dependent upon the level of participation in the workshop. Where this takes the place of another attendee the full fee will be charged. 
3.7. Resins and hardeners may cause irritation; therefore it is recommended that you use a barrier cream such as Arretil/Travabond/Lindesa etc. Hands should be cleaned with soap and water or specialist hand cleansers after working with resin i.e. Resolve or Slig. Do not use thinners or strippers. While we will offer such products for attendees use, it is ultimately their responsibility to use them.  No liability will be accepted by us.
4. Payment: All workshops must be paid in full in advance. Your booking is not confirmed until cleared payment is received by us and confirmation has been received by the attendee. 
5. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds 
5.1. We require a minimum of 21 days’ notice if you wish to cancel your booking so that we can try to resell the workshop place. If we are unable to sell your place then no refunds will be given. 
5.2. If we successfully resell your place, you will be given a full refund less a £10 administration charge. 
5.3. You may request to change your workshop booking up to 28 days prior to the start of the workshop that was originally booked. Transfer to any other workshop will be subject to availability. 
5.4. Workshops have a maximum of 10 places and a minimum number of 4 before it can run. Course viability is reviewed ten days prior to the start date and a final decision on course viability is taken 7 days before the due date. 
5.5. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a workshop, we will offer either a suitable alternative date or a full refund. 
5.6. If a workshop cannot run because of tutor illness, we will give as much notice as possible and we will offer a suitable alternative date or a full refund. We holds no responsibility for attendees accommodation or travel fees which are entirely the responsibility of the attendee.
5.7. In the event of the cancellation of Workshop by us, we will not be liable for any third-party costs, such as travel or accommodation. 
5.8. No refunds will be given to people who do not turn up to workshops they have booked and paid for.

6. Copyright & Acceptable Usage: 
6.1. Full copyright of resin workshop content developed by Fiona Potter is retained by her. 
6.2. Workshop notes and reference materials where provided are to support the attendee after a workshop and are issued for personal use only. 
6.3. Much work has gone into the development of tutorials and course content and it therefore has commercial value. The sharing of such materials by print, press, photocopy, email, blogs, internet or any digital transfer medium is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of Fiona Potter.  If in doubt, please contact us. 
7. Confidentiality: 
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring wherever possible that you have a safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to and websites and governs data collection and usage. By using the website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement 
8. Collection of your Personal Information: 
8.1. We collect personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number in order to process bookings and orders. 
8.2. We may use your email address to send you occasional newsletters and updates only and you may unsubscribe at anytime. 
8.3. We will not pass your personal details on to any other individuals or organisations. 
8.4. We do not keep any records of credit/debit cards in any form, either written, electronically or in a database. Once you enter your details online, the transaction is processed via our payment processor.
